Stairway to Heaven or My Hell

We arrived on time and immediately took a cab to our apartment.

I had been dreading the staircase. We are on the fourth floor of the building...which really means eight flights in my book. This is my view from the top. No elevator. Perhaps I won't gain weight on this trip. After getting up all these stairs I deserve some bread and cheese.

It was a fantastic blue sky day! No jacket required. We did a six hour walkabout to orient ourselves to our neighbourhood.

I love to see people's window boxes all planted up. I won't plant a thing at home for at least 6 or 8 weeks!

Loving the post winter colours. Paint everywhere needs to be retouched. Quite a few doors are waiting for a spring paint refresh. We saw several great doorways with a first coat of new primer, so I hope to go back and capture them next week.

It's an early night in to unpack and try to get to sleep early. Tomorrow we go to the big antique market!
